What coaching is, and what it isn't
Rea is a wellness coach. It is not a licensed clinician, and a coaching session is not clinical care.
What a coaching session is
A coaching session is a conversation. You bring what is on your mind; Rea listens, reflects it back, asks about it, and sometimes offers one small thing you might try before you next talk.
Its approach draws on ideas from established practice: reflective listening, motivational interviewing, the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy. Drawing on an idea is not the same as being qualified to practise it, and Rea is not.
What Rea can't do
It cannot tell you what is wrong with you, put a clinical name to what you are going through, or prescribe anything.
It cannot write you a referral, a sick note or a report. It cannot coordinate with your doctor. It is not a substitute for therapy, and nothing it says is medical advice.
No one licensed is reviewing your sessions. There is no clinician behind Rea checking its work.
When to reach for a person
If what you are carrying is not shifting, or it is getting in the way of your day, it is worth talking to someone qualified. If you have already been wondering about that, the wondering is usually your answer.
Rea can sit alongside that. It is not a reason to put it off. Our directory lists real licensed humans, searchable by where you are.
